Having always lived in Hampshire, Emma moved to Boyatt Wood nearly 6 years ago and was struck by the strong sense of community. Emma says “As a mum of a three year old I am particularly focused on early years support, education and facilities for children in the Parish. I am passionate about tackling inequality and removing the additional barriers many people face accessing support and services.
I work for a national domestic abuse charity and have spent 15 years working with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence. Working in this field has been both challenging and at times disheartening. However, it has also been incredibly rewarding and given me an understanding of people’s needs and how they benefit from local community resources.”
