A public consultation exercise carried out by Eastleigh Borough Council in early December 2020 as part of the Community Governance Review (CGR) – indicated that householders in Eastleigh town centre and surrounding neighbourhoods were strongly in favour of more locally focused decision-which led to a Parish Council for Boyatt Wood being created with the Councillors being elected in the 2022 Local Elections and any remaining vacancies filled by co-option in the subsequent months. The new Boyatt Wood Parish Council covers the area west of the Eastleigh-Winchester railway line to the east of Twyford Road.

Meet your Councillors

We have 10 Councillors representing three wards who are elected every four years. As a corporate body they set the budget, decide the strategy and actions. Each May at its Annual meeting a Chair and Vice Chair is duly elected.

Council meetings are open to the public, please do come along. We have a public session at the beginning of our meetings where issues can be raised and questions asked.
